Well just got back from visiting O and had a wonderful time. One of the places we visited was called Ipswitch, I think it is spelled correctly. This is a place I would not mind spending more time at, say a whole day. Alicia and CJF get along great. We all played tennis and baseball, two of my favorite sports. I would much rather play a sport then watch it on TV. We also worked on house projects, another of my favorite things in life. I am really enjoying working with rocks. Building rock walls and steps. I have always had an interest in rocks but have never really been around them, now I know why my interest.
O got what I think was a terrific bargain on a book she has given me to read, only 25 cents. I am really enjoying this book. It is somewhat challenging for me as I have always had a very tall wall to overcome in reading books(never read a book or Cliff notes before Alicia gave me a book to read about a year ago). This book is about 500 pages of small print, yuk. But what is keeping me going is the subject.
The book is titled "Crazy Horse and Custer" by Stephen E. Ambrose. I have always had a facination for Crazy Horse and Custer, sometimes I think that I have always looked up to these two men. Reading about their lifes is just out of this world for me. I have always been interested in the life of Indians. Somehow I feel like I can relate to the life of the Sioux. One interesting thing is that the Indians beleive in the circle of life. Something I also believe in. Where as the white man believes in a linear path to life. I can see both points of view, and they are detailed in an excellent way in the book.
Till next time, Jorge

Hey Jorge!
I just checked my e-mail and found that lovely surprise from you to The Melrose Social Club!! Hay Caramba!!!
That was sooo nice of you! Muchas Gracias! I'm sure we will have a very nice time. I love Turner's! It is a really nice restaurant and one of the few to survive over 15 years or so in Melrose. Excellent choice!!Thanks again!
It was nice to see you and A last week was it? It's all a blur now.
We had a great time in NYC with the fam last week. Went to a Yankees game (they lost to the TEXAS Rangers!!) 14 -3!!! Ouch!!
Also went to see Les Miserable on Broadway with the fam. Went down to South Street Seaport (touristy). Great weather, etc. A nice trip.
The best part is that I somehow managed to get myself going again on exercise. I started in NYC last Tuesday morning and I haven't missed yet. Started running along the Hudson River, just beautiful this time of year, and doing some heavy-duty stair work (about 150 stairs) like Rocky!! ( I am a legend in my own mind!!) Also sit-ups, push-up, leg-lifts, and lots of other hyphenated type exercises!!!
I feel good. Definitely tightening up. Thank God my blood pressure is staying in the high but normal range. Will probably go down further if I drop more weight. Which I'm desperately trying to do.
Anyhow, this got way too long! Really wanted to thank you again for your generosity to the Melrose Social Club!
Today is the 4th annual Homeschooling Moms NYC trip to my apt. We go the weekend after Mother's Day every year. It is a group of 7 women. It is a closed group as that is all we can fit in one minivan, and comfortably fit in the apt. However, each year one or two can not make it. So usually 5-6 go.
I did make an "executive decision" earlier this year, that somehow, we must squeeze O in! Of course everyone agreed. So this would have been O's first time down with this group, however, I don't think the timing is quite right for her.
She went with me alone last Columbus Day weekend. We had a spectacular time, and she was just in NYC a week or two ago for the American Girl Doll trip. So I think she is all set. I've tried to "gently" pressure her, but I understand. Of course she knows the invitation is permanent!! So maybe next year!
Also her and I will try to keep our thrift shop tour of NYC in the Fall with maybe only the addition of K>
Ok must go. I hear you're coming again next week. Hope to see ya then. Ciao! LPK
Hey L, You'll are a terrific bunch. Glad NYC was fun for the family. Keep your health up and I'll see you soon.
Hasta Luego, Jorge
