I had a great time in Boston this past week with O and her family. We got to work on many things and also visited with most of my "Melrose Social Club" friends. The major projects were releveling the patio and demolishing a small rock wall and rebuilding it as a larger rock wall, K even helped. K is a talented pointer when it comes to mortar. We almost finished but didn't cause the weather prevented us from finishing as I saw snow in April.
O also took me to Portsmouth, a beautiful looking city with houses over 250 years old. We had the best hot chocolate while it was snowing in a wonderful place. I wouldn't mind spending more time there. She also took me to Maine, another place I wouldn't mind spending more time in. Now I've traveled to all four corners of the continental US. I've been to north of Seattle, south of San Diego, and Key West, so I would really have to go to Edmundston to say this but I was close.
New Hampshire and Maine have great mottos, "Live Free or Die", and "The way Life Should Be". I can really relate to them.
O took me to see many places. One of my favorite was and is South Boston. Where we had lunch at a really nice restaurant. I think I've come close to ODing on Tostones. O is an excellent host. Time can be wonderful. Jorge

Hey Jorge!!
Glad your back! I'm not yet. I noticed you haven't posted since March 25th either! I just have not felt a blog coming on in a while. I have a list of back-up topics, but I cannot even force a blog - and I don't believe one should!
Anyhow, not even feeling much for posting on other's blogs, but did want to send a quick shout out to you.
Glad you enjoyed your time with O and the fam. I'm sure they appreciated all the great work projects you spearheaded for them. The side patio/garden I'm sure came out great from what I saw you were doing that day.
I hope you're feeling better mentally. I'm sure the trip to O's must have helped. Your writing sounds more upbeat again.
It's nice to hear someone is enjoying reading. I have completely lost my ability to read since I had kids. I read lots of parenting mags, articles, homeschooling stuff, etc. like you said, but a good pocket novel? Not in nearly 12 years!!!!I feel like my life is one big series of interuptions and I can't stand that. It is too frustrating for me to concentrate on reading.
However, I must say I have ventured back into music lately. This also has not been very fullfilling in the last 12 years either. So while I'm not reading yet, I have something I really enjoy again.. So much so I will buy the third drumset in my lifetime. I haven't played or owned a set since high school or college. Now I'm on fire to play again!! Luckily Steve agrees and thinks I should treat myself to the drumset of my dreams! (within reason of course! but certainly better than my first set I saved up $100 for in my senior year of high school. It was probably a third hand beginner's set held together by coathangers and tape!! But hell I made it sound good!!!)
Well that's way more than I thought I would type. I really enjoyed reading your posts.
Is that your little dog? He/she is really cute!
Well, I think I may have a blog coming soon as I am in NYC with my friend Kieferskate. She arrived today from England! I'ts Easter!
She is very nice and we really have hit it off!! We have lots of fun planned and we each have our computers here, in fact she is blogging right now! I'm checking blogs!!
So, may God's peace be with you and A on this blessed Easter.

Hi L, Thanks, I also love music, but haven't played in about 20 years. I mainly played the trumpet but also tried the drums amongst others. Have fun in NYC. Take Care, Jorge
Jorge!! You played an instrument!! Trumpet? Drums?!! Awesome!!!
I reccomend you pick up an instrument again and give it a whirl.
While I've been in NYC these last two weeks I've been to the famous Sam Ash Music stores in Midtown. They have a whole percussion store which I've been in twice now. I spent about a half hour one day there with "B". I was playing away there, which they let you do. She said, "Wow, Mom you're good! You should buy a set!". I went back alone for about 40 minutes the next night, when I had some time to myself, and played my heart out - first time in over 20 years! Talk about therapeutic!!!
The kids may have their xbox360's, but this is what I need for pure entertainment!!
So, I don't know if you will have quite the same experience that I have, but it really was something. So for whatever it is worth, I just thought I'd share that with you.
Still having a great time in NYC with my friend Kate. Take care. LPK
L, Sounds like you've been having a good time. I played the trumpet the longest, about 9 years. I sometimes think about playing an instrument again, maybe someday. Keep having fun in NYC. Take Care, Jorge
L, I even played in a band at work for about 3 years. We had quite a few small performances. Jorge
Awesome Jorge!!! Have fun!!LPK
I'm off to my first live concert in 20 years tonight!! Really looking forward to soaking it all in. LPK
